• The Structure: I build a custom-fabricated MS (mild steel) grid that sits 2 to 3 inches off your wall. This gap is vital because it creates airflow and prevents moisture from damaging the structural wall behind it.
• The Irrigation: Every system I install includes a 16mm drip irrigation line. This ensures every plant receives an equal amount of water, which is the secret to keeping ferns and flowering plants alive in a vertical setup.
• The Growth Media: I use a treated cocopeat and perlite soilless mix. It is lightweight, holds moisture well, and prevents the root rot issues you often get with standard soil in vertical systems.

Plant Selection for Your Space

I tailor the plant palette based on your specific lighting and ventilation. For indoor spaces with limited natural light, I typically use hardy, air-purifying varieties like Spider Plants and Syngoniums. For outdoor or bright, airy balconies, I can incorporate flowering Anthuriums or various succulents to add pops of color.

The Process

1. Site Inspection: I first check your wall strength, light levels, and proximity to a water point.
2. Design: We agree on the plant density and pattern.
3. Installation: My team handles the structural framing, drip line connection, and planting.
4. Handover: I show you how to manage the timer for the drip system and provide basic pruning advice to keep the wall looking dense and healthy.
