Tugbug's Community Play Initiatives and Social Impact
Play is for every child. We are proud to partner with organizations like CRY to bring our therapeutic, creative, and sensory-rich activities to children across the country.
In partnership with CRY, we are bringing our creative workshops to more children. Here, a group is fully engaged in a hands-on craft session, finding joy in creation.
A child discovers the joy of music through our collaboration with CRY. We provide instruments and activities that offer therapeutic and sensory-rich play.
We are proud to share our vision of nurturing imagination with the CRY Foundation. This partnership allows us to extend our mission beyond our centers.
About Our Community Work
We partner with CRY to bring our sensory-rich art and pottery workshops directly to community centers, ensuring children from all backgrounds have a chance to explore their creativity. We use these sessions to introduce accessible tools like air-dry clay and traditional block stamps, focusing on therapeutic, screen-free play that helps kids build confidence and express their unique stories.
Our mission has always been to prioritize creation over consumption. When we take our work outside our centers and into the community, we focus on the same core principles: curiosity, hands-on learning, and the joy of messy play.
The Impact of Community Play
Through our collaboration with CRY, we adapt our standard programming—like pottery, music, and painting—into formats that thrive in diverse community settings. These sessions are about more than just fun; they offer a therapeutic outlet where children can process emotions, build social connections, and develop fine motor skills through simple, effective activities.
Why We Focus on Creativity
Children often have few spaces where they are allowed to just be themselves without the pressure of a right or wrong answer. By introducing workshops like block printing or guided sensory storytelling, we give them permission to experiment. Whether it is a child discovering the rhythm of a xylophone for the first time or learning to shape clay into a bowl, these moments are building blocks for confidence and curious thinking.
We believe that by providing access to these creative tools, we are helping to raise a generation of kind, mindful, and resilient little humans. It is not just about the art they create, but the sense of pride they feel in making something with their own hands.
