Featured Bridal Hairstyles and Event Looks
These are some of my favorite looks from recent weddings. From traditional temple-style braids to soft, modern waves, see how I adapt my styling for different bridal events.
This is the quintessential South Indian bridal hairstyle, perfect for a grand Muhurtham. I created a long, traditional braid and adorned it with a full set of golden temple jewellery, known as Jada Billa, and fresh jasmine flowers, or moggina jade. The look is completed with a delicate veil, making the bride look absolutely regal.
For a modern reception, I styled this bride's hair in a half-updo with voluminous, flowing waves. The look is finished with a chic, sparkling bow accessory, adding a touch of contemporary glamour that is perfect for an evening celebration.
This elegant and textured low bun is a beautiful choice for a Christian wedding. I carefully crafted the updo to feel romantic and soft, securing it with a delicate, leaf-patterned hair comb that complements the bride's gown without overpowering it.
This is my signature Peacock hairstyle, an intricate design that is sure to make a statement. I sculpt the hair to create a fanned-out, layered effect resembling a peacock's tail, using advanced techniques for a truly unique and memorable bridal look.
A modern twist on a classic, this messy fishtail braid offers a soft and romantic look for an engagement or pre-wedding event. I wove in fresh flowers and decorative discs to add texture and a touch of tradition to this contemporary bridal hairstyle.
Here you can see the full effect of a traditional Muhurtham hairstyle. I created a neat, long braid adorned with temple jewellery and fresh flowers, a timeless look that pairs beautifully with a classic silk saree for the main wedding ceremony.
This chic and stylish ponytail is a fantastic option for a reception or Sangeet. I gave the hair plenty of volume at the crown and styled it into a flowing, textured ponytail that is both glamorous and comfortable enough for a night of dancing.
For a fun and vibrant Haldi ceremony, I created this intricate side-swept messy braid. It's a practical yet beautiful style that keeps hair managed while looking festive, especially when decorated with small pearl accessories.
About Featured
When I do traditional braids like the Mogina Jade, the real secret is the foundation. I use extensive micro-crimping to give your hair natural grip before adding any extensions. This ensures your temple jewellery and fresh flowers stay perfectly in place for the whole ceremony without sagging or feeling too heavy on your head.
My process starts with understanding the event. For a Muhurtham, we focus on structural integrity. That means sewing in the Jada Billa and fresh floral arrangements so they survive the rituals. I use invisible thread for this because safety pins can slip during long ceremonies.
For receptions and Sangeeth events, the goal shifts to volume and movement. If you want Hollywood waves or a bouncy ponytail, I blend in high-quality extensions. I do not just clip them in; I backcomb the roots and use texturizing sprays so the transition between your natural hair and the added length is invisible.
I coordinate directly with your makeup artist before the day begins. Whether you are getting ready at a hotel or your own home in Bangalore, I bring my full kit, including heat protectants and heavy-duty shine sprays. I work in Bangalore and Mysuru, traveling to your venue to save you the stress of finding a salon.
If you have a specific vision, let me know. I do everything from clean, minimalist Christian wedding updos to elaborate, fanned-out Peacock hairstyles.
