From classic muhurtham braids to modern reception updos, here is a collection of my favorite styles. Whether you are looking for that grand, flower-adorned traditional look or something softer and more contemporary, I am here to help you get ready for your big day.

This is the quintessential South Indian muhurtham look. I created a thick, neat braid and adorned it with traditional gold-plated temple jewellery, known as jada billai, and a jasmine gajra for a timeless and grand bridal hairstyle.

A perfect hairstyle for a reception or engagement. This is a classic half-up style with voluminous, bouncy curls and a delicate floral hair accessory that adds a touch of modern elegance.

For a soft and romantic reception look, I crafted this textured messy bun. The face-framing wavy tendrils and the fresh white rose create a dreamy, effortless style that looks stunning in photos.

This is a modern take on a bridal braid. I created an intricate, multi-layered braid with bubble and floral details, finished with delicate baby's breath accessories for a unique and sophisticated look.

I love creating big, bouncy curls that have life and movement. This video shows how a simple open hairstyle with soft waves can look so glamorous for a sangeet or reception party.

A full 'poola jada' or flower braid is a breathtaking look for a South Indian bride. Here, I've covered the entire length of the braid in fragrant jasmine flowers, accented with traditional billas for a truly opulent muhurtham hairstyle.

This half-up hairstyle features a waterfall braid and tight, defined curls, perfect for adding volume and texture. The subtle highlights in the hair are beautifully defined by the curls, creating a rich, dimensional look for any party.

This is a great example of a modern, structured updo. I created a textured crown with an intricate low bun, a style that is both elegant and secure, making it perfect for a long day of wedding festivities.

About Featured

Before we secure any temple jewellery or fresh flower strings, I always focus on deep-root crimping and base construction. It might look like just a prep step, but it is the real secret to keeping heavy braids or elaborate updos comfortable and steady from your early morning muhurtham all the way through to the final reception dance.
