Handmade Zines and Creative Projects by Lex

Zines are where my digital art gets to live in the real world. Unlike mass-produced prints, these A5 booklets are small, DIY, and full of the quirky, colorful stories I love to draw. I focus on creating 16 to 24-page narratives that feel intimate, using 100 to 130 GSM matte paper for the interior to keep that raw, tactile feel.

Why I create them

My process for these special projects is quite fluid. I start with an idea—often something a bit weird or surreal—and develop the character illustrations alongside the text. When I release a zine, I often create a matching micro-crochet piece or a custom sticker to go with it. It’s a way to offer more than just a paper booklet; it’s a tiny, cohesive world you can hold in your hands.
