Yoga extends beyond the mat. Our Annam Brahma initiative serves wholesome, Sattvik meals to the underprivileged, rooted in our century-old legacy of service.

I personally participate in our Annam Brahma food service, offering a wholesome Sattvik meal. This act of 'Annadan' is rooted in the spirit of the Bhagavad Gita.

About this collection

When we serve these meals, it is not just about hunger; it is about dignity. We provide fresh, simple Sattvik food—prepared with the same intention we teach in our courses—to those who need it most, ensuring they receive nourishment that is clean, balanced, and prepared with love.

At The Yoga Institute, we believe that if your yoga practice stops when you roll up your mat, it is incomplete. Our lineage, dating back to 1918, teaches that 'Seva' (selfless service) is the highest form of Yoga. Through our Annam Brahma initiative, we put this into practice every single day.

Why focus on food? Because a healthy body is the vessel for a healthy mind. By serving Sattvik meals—food that is pure, simple, and devoid of stimulants—we do not just fill stomachs; we provide energy that is calm and sustaining. This is our way of practicing 'Annadan' (the gift of food), a concept central to the Bhagavad Gita.

Whether you are looking to volunteer, contribute, or simply understand how yoga integrates with social responsibility, we invite you to be part of this. We work on the ground in Mumbai, bringing food and connection to the people who need it. You will see us serving not as distant helpers, but as neighbors and friends. This initiative is built on compassion and duty, turning our ancient yogic wisdom into a concrete, daily action that builds character and community.
