16 Years Of Playing Sets: My DJ Journey

When I started in 2008, it was all about the feel of vinyl and pure instinct. Over the last decade and a half, my setup has evolved from standard decks to using Serato DJ Pro and Phase wireless controllers, but the core remains the same: josh aur junoon (energy and passion).

I have spent years training as an open format DJ, which means I do not rely on pre-recorded sets. I read the room. If the crowd needs a shift from classic Hip Hop to Bollywood club bangers, I make that transition seamless using techniques like scratch, tone play, and live remixing. I believe that if you like yourself, you will continuously move forward, and I apply that philosophy to every gig I play, whether it is a small private birthday or a large festival.

My process involves a 20-minute consultation before any event to lock in your musical preferences and the Do-Not-Play list. For larger events like weddings, I manage the flow, from ambient deep house during cocktails to the high-BPM dance anthems that define the night.
