I don't rely on pre-recorded playlists. Whether I'm playing for a massive crowd at a Holi festival or a polished corporate event for a brand like BMW, I use my decks to read the room, adapt to the vibe, and mix tracks on the fly to keep the energy locked in.
My approach to events is simple: read the crowd and deliver exactly what the floor needs. I’ve been doing this since 2008, and after 16 years, I’ve learned that a festival set requires a different kind of precision than a club gig. When I’m at an open-air event or a pool party, I use my professional Pioneer gear and Serato DJ Pro to ensure the sound hits right, even in challenging acoustic environments.
The Party Ninja Approach
- Genre-Bending: I don't stick to one lane. I mix Bollywood anthems with Hip Hop, Punjabi beats, and Afro House. It’s all about creating that unique blend that surprises people.
- Technical Precision: As a true turntablist, I incorporate live scratching, beat juggling, and tone play. This isn't just about playing songs; it's about adding a live, remix-style layer that you can't get from a standard playlist.
- Venue Adaptability: I’ve played everywhere from the lawns of Jayamahal Palace to the intimate, high-energy setups at BOHO Koramangala. I know how to coordinate with event production teams to ensure the sound system and lighting match the music.
