Most people think DJing is just pressing play, but it is really about reading the room. When I am at a spot like Sarjapur Social or Biergarten, I am constantly watching the energy levels, the tempo, and the crowd’s response to every transition. If the hip-hop flow isn’t hitting right, I switch to an Afro House beat or a Bollywood mix instantly to bring that heat back, because I never rely on a fixed, pre-recorded playlist.
Whether I am behind the decks at a festival or a private event in Indiranagar, my goal is consistent energy. Being an open format DJ means I don’t rely on a pre-planned setlist. I bring my library, my turntables, and the ability to adapt. I use Pioneer DJM mixers and Serato to pull off live mashups that you won’t hear anywhere else.
I have been spinning since 2008, and that time on the road has taught me that the best sets are the ones that build a story. I am not there to stand in the corner; I am there to engage with the crowd. Whether it is a Blockbuster Friday at Sarjapur Social or a themed Halloween party, the tech is just the tool.
