Welcome to Urban Pause, a sanctuary where we balanced light, texture, and space to create a feeling of serene luxury. This home showcases our approach to bespoke furniture design, where every piece, from the sculptural sofa to the fluted console, is crafted to foster comfort, connection, and quiet reflection.
In our Villa Shai project, this custom-designed console and curated decor tell a story of local Goan craft and conscious living. We believe furniture should be more than functional; it should be a collection of stories, textures, and memories that ground a space with soul and a sense of place.
A bedroom should be a personal retreat. In our Valley of Dreams project, we used warm timber, a custom-upholstered bed, and lush foliage prints to create a cozy, cabin-like atmosphere that feels both grounded and dreamlike, blurring the line between the indoors and the Himalayan landscape outside.
Our workshop is where ideas take form. This is a glimpse into our process, where traditional techniques meet modern design. Every piece of bespoke furniture is shaped by the hands of skilled local artisans, ensuring that the final product carries a mark of true craftsmanship and enduring quality.
The dining area is where family gathers. For our Terra project, we designed this custom marble-top dining table and upholstered Adira chairs to create a space that is both sophisticated and warm. It’s an example of how we build furniture that becomes the backdrop for everyday rituals and cherished stories.
The living room is the soul of the home. Here in the Valley of Dreams, we anchored the space with a hand-built fireplace and our signature Ava chairs. This setting shows our belief in creating comfortable, inviting spaces where the design warms you even before the fire is lit.
The Wave Console is a piece born from a personal story of overcoming fear. Its form, inspired by the sea, and its fired wood veneer top are a testament to our belief that furniture can hold emotion and memory. We design pieces that are not just objects, but living narratives.

About Featured
Before we finalize any piece, we create a 'farma'—a raw structure mock-up in our workshop. We test the seating depth and back angles until the furniture feels like an extension of your own frame. It is not about adhering to a template, but ensuring that the piece you bring home supports exactly how you live.
Our featured collection is a reflection of 'slow living'—the philosophy that a space should hold your identity, not just a set of trends. Whether it is the warm, cabin-like timber of our Valley of Dreams project or the Goan-inspired textures of Villa Shai, our work focuses on the dialogue between the user and their environment.
The Craft Behind the Design
We operate from a philosophy of honest materials. We work primarily with solid Oak, Ash, and Teak, employing traditional joinery techniques like mortise and tenon to ensure structural longevity. You will not find us chasing fast furniture fads. If we are designing a console or a dining table, we consider how the steam-bending adds form, or how the hand-rubbed linseed oil finish feels to the touch.
Why We Do It Differently
We are not just designing for an aesthetic; we are designing for daily habit. A chair’s back angle, the depth of a sofa, or the finish on a dining table—these are functional decisions made through careful prototyping. Our workshop in Dasghara, Delhi, is the heart of this process. It is where our master artisans translate our sketches into reality.
