The secret to these glowing photos is strict timing. We only shoot during the golden hour, which means starting at 5:30 AM for sunrise or 4:30 PM for sunset. This specific window is what creates that soft, painterly light on the skin, but it does mean we have to adhere to a precise schedule to get the best results.
Capturing the Golden Glow
Every session is designed to make the most of the coastline. The golden hour is not just a preference, it is a necessity for achieving that soft, dreamy skin tone and the glowing backgrounds you see in these frames. We typically head to ECR, where the horizon meets the sky in a way that feels vast and beautiful.
Planning Your Beach Session
- Timing is everything: We start strictly at 5:30 AM or 4:30 PM. Being on time ensures we catch the best 90 minutes of light before the sun gets too harsh or dips below the horizon.
- What to wear: To match the beach aesthetic, choose soft, breezy fabrics. Whites, pastels, or light blues work beautifully against the sand and sea. We can discuss coordinated colours beforehand to make sure everyone looks cohesive without being too matchy-matchy.
- The Process: Each session lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. I do not rely on stiff, traditional poses. Instead, we do walks, laughter, and genuine family interaction. Whether you are a couple expecting a new addition or a family of four with energetic kiddos, the goal is to have fun while I capture the magic of the moment.
