About Learn With Me: Pro Tips & Tutorials
When applying gel, always leave that 'one hairline gap' near your cuticle. It sounds small, but it’s the secret to preventing product lifting. If you flood your cuticles, moisture gets trapped, and the nail won't last. I stress this in every single class because it’s the difference between a messy set and a professional one.
Why technique matters more than products
I always tell my students—don't chase expensive brands if your technique is wrong. Whether you are doing a simple gel overlay or complex extensions, the basics are what define your result.
The Apex & Strength Most beginners struggle with breakage. The trick isn't thick gel; it's the apex. By building a proper structural arch, you distribute pressure evenly across the nail bed. This prevents your extensions from snapping at the free edge or lifting from the stress points.
Safe & Clean Work Hygiene is non-negotiable at my studio in DLF Ankur Vihar.
- UV Protection: I always wear protective gloves to prevent skin tanning during the curing process. It is a small step, but it protects your skin health long-term.
- Safe Removal: Never rip off extensions. I teach proper e-file techniques that leave your natural nail healthy. If you’ve got yellow stains from daily work, a little alcohol rub goes a long way.
