Festivals are about the warmth of family recipes and shared meals. I style and capture these moments to bring an authentic, celebratory spirit to your brand's campaign.

Happy Diwali. A classic festive shot of gulab jamuns stacked in a pyramid, with a spoon pouring syrup over them. The diyas and flower garlands in the background complete the scene.

A festive shot of Kaju Katli, with the bokeh from Diwali lights creating a magical background. The composition draws the eye to the stack of sweets in the foreground.

A festive shot for a biryani brand's Holi campaign. The colorful background and traditional silver platter make the gujiyas look celebratory and delicious, perfectly aligning with the festival's spirit.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. These cute gingerbread men cookies are arranged to look like a happy little army, with festive lights creating a warm bokeh background.

A festive shot of kheer in a traditional brass bowl, surrounded by diyas and marigold flowers. This image was created to celebrate Navratri, capturing the sweet, comforting essence of the festival.

For Navratri, I produced this vibrant video for a food brand, showcasing a festive spread. The reel combines shots of cooking with a final flatlay of the entire meal, capturing the celebratory spirit.

A beautiful flatlay of payasam (kheer) in earthen bowls, garnished with saffron and pistachios. This shot was styled for Janmashtami, with a bright and airy feel to celebrate the occasion.

A festive shot of gulab jamun made with jaggery, set against a backdrop of diyas. The warm, moody lighting enhances the rich, syrupy texture of this classic Indian dessert.

A vibrant Holi campaign video for an organic brand. It showcases their ghee and other products amidst a colorful festive spread of gujiyas and thandai.

Happy Christmas Eve. A beautiful, abundant cheeseboard styled with fresh fruits, nuts, and crackers against a backdrop of a Christmas tree. It's a perfect picture of holiday indulgence.

About Festive Feasts

For festive shoots, I focus on ambient lighting and traditional props like brass vessels, marigold garlands, and earthen diyas to set the right mood. Whether it is a vibrant Holi spread or a cozy Christmas dinner, I ensure the styling feels genuine, not staged, so your audience can connect with the joy behind the food.

Bringing Celebration to Life

When I approach a festival shoot, my goal is to trigger a memory. Whether it is the specific glow of a diya against Kaju Katli or the colorful mess of a Holi thandai spread, the technical work is always secondary to the feeling.

My Approach to Festive Styling

  • Lighting with Purpose: I use warm, moody lighting for autumn and winter festivals like Diwali and Christmas to create that 'home-cooked' cozy aesthetic. For brighter festivals like Holi or Onam, I shift to natural, airy light that highlights fresh ingredients and vibrant colors.
  • Authentic Props: I have a curated inventory of traditional items, from vintage brass thalis and linen runners to seasonal elements like fresh marigolds and cinnamon sticks. These props are essential for building a scene that looks lived-in and real, not like a studio setup.
  • Action & Life: I like to incorporate human elements—a hand pouring syrup over gulab jamuns, or someone lighting a candle. It gives the viewer a sense of interaction, making them want to reach out and grab a bite.

How We Can Collaborate

Festive campaigns require planning. I suggest getting in touch at least two weeks before your launch date to finalize the mood board and prop sourcing list. Whether you need a series of high-resolution images for social media, or a stop-motion video that captures the hustle of festive cooking, I adapt my gear and styling to fit the scale of your brand. Let's make your product the centerpiece of the season.

I am Sanjana. I grew up chasing the smell of ghee from the kitchen and watching my family cook, and that is the feeling I chase in every shot. I do not just click pictures; I try to freeze those little moments of nostalgia that make a festival feel like home.
