We operate on a single-fitting system. You come in for an initial consultation where we select fabrics and take your measurements, and then you return for one basted trial. This ensures the drape, the sleeve length, and the chest break are precise before we finalize your garment, saving you multiple trips to the studio.

At The House Of Govinda, we don't believe in mass production. Every garment starts on the cutting table in our Mumbai workshop, where we prioritize the relationship between fabric and form. We view tailoring as an engineering challenge as much as an art form.

When we select materials, we focus on performance and comfort. This includes high-GSM mercerized cotton for polos that hold their structure, heavy-wale corduroy for texture, and wrinkle-resistant wool blends for our travel co-ord sets. Our collar engineering, whether Mandarin, Cutaway, or Button-down, involves specific interlining techniques to ensure they stay upright without stiffness.

Our process is highly manual. We use hidden plackets, Mother of Pearl or matte-finish resin buttons, and reinforced double-stitching on stress points like the crotch and pocket openings. For our trousers, we incorporate internal grip lining to keep shirts tucked in, and we offer side-adjusters for a cleaner waistline than standard belt loops.
