About The Art of Tailoring: Fabric & Finishes
We focus on the foundation—the structure, the textile, and the drape. Every structured jacket we produce uses a half-canvas construction, allowing the fabric to breathe and move with you naturally. When you visit our Prabhadevi studio, we do not just measure; we study your posture and movement to ensure the silhouette is clean, sharp, and comfortable from the very first wear.
True quality in menswear is rarely visible at a glance, but it is always felt. In our Prabhadevi studio, we prioritize the internal mechanics of a garment as much as the outer fabric. Through our collaboration with Vercelli Italy, we source textiles that provide an exceptional drape, ensuring your suit or bandhgala maintains its shape through long events.
Our Technical Approach
- Half-Canvas Construction: Unlike mass-produced garments that use fusing, we use a half-canvas chest plate. This prevents the fabric from bubbling over time and allows the jacket to mold to your chest, creating a superior fit.
- Precision Tailoring: We emphasize clean lines and sharp silhouettes. Whether it is a formal tuxedo or an achkan, our pattern-making process accounts for your specific posture, shoulder drop, and arm length.
- Hand-Finished Details: From the beadwork on our achkans to the hidden plackets on our kurtas, we insist on hand-finishing. This reduces bulk and ensures that even the internal seams feel smooth against the skin.
The Fitting Process
We believe the final piece should feel like a second skin. Our process typically involves two stages of fittings. During the first, we adjust the shell to your frame. The second ensures that details like button placement, sleeve length, and trouser break are adjusted for your movement. This dedication to the process is why we recommend starting your order at least three weeks before your event.
