You see the perfectly finished sets on Instagram, but here, I am showing you the real 'nail therapy' that happens before that. It is about the 30-minute late clients, the last-minute design changes I honestly cannot say no to, and the real conversations we have over cups of chai. When you book a slot with me, you are not just getting nails done; you are joining a community where we handle the chaos together.
I started The Glitter Story in Sion because I wanted a space that felt like therapy, not just a service desk. After 5,000+ sets, I have learned that a manicure is often the only hour someone gets to themselves, and I take that seriously.
The Reality of My Studio
Running this place is a balancing act. If you have been here, you know that December is a total madhouse, and on any given Sunday, you might find me juggling 16 clients, a broken nail emergency, and someone asking for a complex 3D design while I am already behind schedule. It gets intense, but the support from my regulars—who text me 'Riya, tu kar le manage' (Riya, you handle it)—is what keeps me going.
Why It Matters
My work is not just about the final coat. It is about the prep, the dry manicure, and the quality of the gel or acrylic extensions that stay on for weeks.
