My Creative Journey: From Chartered Accountant to Calligraphy Artist

This post marked four years of The Bloom Letters. It has been a journey of pouring my heart into everything I create, from simple envelopes to bespoke keepsakes for brands like L'Oréal and Longines.
This was my post on CA Day, celebrating my dual identity as both a Chartered Accountant and a Calligraphy Artist. My art journey began during a challenging personal time, and it has been my meditation and my calling ever since.

About My Story: From CA to Creative Artist
My path was not direct. I spent years in the structured world of a Chartered Accountant, but after becoming a mom, I found my true peace in the slow, deliberate strokes of calligraphy. It is this blend, the precision of my past life and the heart of my present, that I bring to every piece of art I create.
People often ask how a Chartered Accountant becomes a calligraphy artist. The truth is, I did not leave my old life behind. I carried the discipline, the attention to detail, and the respect for numbers into my studio. Whether I am engraving a perfume bottle for a L'Oréal event or painting custom motifs on leather, that professional rigour ensures your keepsakes are handled with absolute care.
For me, art is meditation. When life gets overwhelming, especially while caring for my special child, my desk becomes my sanctuary. I believe every celebration deserves a soul's imprint. In a world of mass-produced gifts, I offer the opposite: something imperfectly human, written by hand, and crafted with genuine intent. I do not use digital shortcuts because emotions do not show up in pixels. They live in the ink and the brushstroke.
I have faced projects that did not work out and days where the creativity would not flow. I share this because I want you to know who you are hiring. I am an artist who values transparency and resilience as much as aesthetics.
