About Hand-Carved Stone Planters
These planters are not mass-produced. Because they are hand-carved from natural lavastone, no two pieces are identical. When you choose a piece like the Puspa or Ceria, you are getting natural, porous stone that develops a beautiful, mossy patina over time if placed outdoors. It is an organic addition that changes and ages with your garden.
What makes these planters special is the material. Lavastone is naturally porous, which means it breathes and helps maintain healthy roots for your plants. Unlike concrete or plastic, this stone has a life of its own. Over a few months in Bangalore’s climate, expect your planter to develop a subtle, greenish moss finish. This isn't a defect. It is exactly the look that makes Balinese gardens feel grounded and ancient.
We have specific designs for different scales. The Puspa and Ceria ranges focus on deep relief floral and leaf carvings. These work best as focal points in a foyer or near a garden path. For smaller spaces, the Madu or Daun series offers the same intense craftsmanship but in a footprint that fits perfectly on a balcony shelf or side table.
A note on weight: these are real stone. Once placed, they stay put. If you are styling a rooftop or a balcony, ensure your surface can handle the load. For high-rise apartments, we often suggest our GRC range for lighter weight, but if you want that authentic temple-statue vibe, these lavastone pieces are the real deal.
Maintenance is simple. Just rinse with water to remove dust. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners as they strip the stone of its natural, earthy character.
