DIY Zen Garden Kits for Your Space
Finding a bit of zen doesn't have to be hard... it can actually be quite fun! These DIY Zen Garden kits are my way of helping you build a little peaceful world right on your desk, one succulent at a time. ❤️
This step by step video shows the process of assembling one of our most popular items, the DIY Zen garden kit. I guide you through preparing the soil mix, arranging the succulents from tallest to shortest for a balanced look, and adding the final decorative touches like pebbles and a serene Buddha figurine.
About DIY Zen Gardens
You get a curated mix of cocopeat, compost, and perlite specifically balanced for succulents so they stay healthy even if you're new to gardening. We’ve done the messy measuring for you, so you can skip the prep work and get straight to creating your own little story in a bowl.
What’s inside the kit?
It’s not just a plant; it’s a whole little world. Each kit comes with a 6 to 8 inch ceramic or fiber bowl and 3 to 4 live, bare-rooted succulents like Echeveria or Sedum. I’ve included pre-measured pouches of soil mix, fine top sand, and polished river pebbles to give it that authentic Zen feel. You’ll also find a miniature resin figurine—like a little meditating Buddha—to bring it all together.
Is it hard to build?
Not at all! We want you to feel relaxed, not stressed about getting it perfect. Every kit comes with access to a step-by-step video tutorial where I walk you through layering the soil, placing the succulents from tallest to shortest, and adding the finishing touches. If you make a mistake, don’t worry, you can always adjust and fix it as you go.
Why a Zen Garden?
Beyond just looking pretty on your desk, these gardens are about mindfulness. Taking a few minutes to arrange the pebbles, pat down the soil, and position your plants can be incredibly therapeutic after a long day in Bengaluru traffic. Whether you are building this for yourself or gifting it to someone special, it is a creative break that helps you slow down. We also love hosting these as group workshops if you want to turn it into a fun team activity or a birthday session. Reach out if you have questions about assembly or if you need help choosing the right plants for your light conditions!
