Our Philosophy: Theatre Beyond Just Acting
I do not just teach acting; I help children find their voice. Discover how our creative drama workshops turn stories into real-world life skills.
This is the core of my philosophy. We aren't just an acting class; we are a space for growing minds, shaping voices, and learning to think, decide, and express with confidence.
The confidence you see on stage is a result of the journey, not the destination. We make the big deal about working together towards a common goal, and the performance becomes a natural, joyful outcome.
Children are incredibly physical beings. The best ideas for a play don't come from sitting still; they come from movement, play, and fun. My job is to know when to catch those brilliant, spontaneous moments.
Can a three-year-old really write a story? Absolutely. Children are natural storytellers and improvisers. We just need to listen, accept their ideas, and let their unique personalities blossom.
What is theatre with me all about? It's about acceptance, collaboration, imagination, and so much more. It's a world of discovery for every child.
By stepping into another character's shoes during our creative drama exercises, children learn to understand different perspectives, which is the foundation of empathy.
We actively encourage children to invent their own stories. This practice is a powerful way to boost creativity and show them that their ideas have value.
Theatre and playmaking allow for an alternate process of thinking. Children learn to approach challenges from new angles and find imaginative solutions.
The entire playmaking process, from script to stage, develops a proactive, problem-solving mindset. The children learn to work through challenges as a team.
Creative drama helps unblock old patterns of reasoning. It encourages children to think flexibly and explore possibilities beyond the obvious.
About Our Philosophy: More Than Just an Acting Class
My approach is simple: connect, not correct. Instead of focusing on memorizing lines, I let kids lead the storytelling, using their own ideas to build plays. This way, the confidence they show on stage is built from the inside out through collaboration, not just performance pressure.
I have heard parents ask, 'Can a three-year-old really write a story?' My answer is always yes. When we strip away the pressure of perfection, we find that children are natural improvisers. In my sessions across Delhi, from Model Town to Pitampura, I create a space where ideas do not have to be right, they just have to be explored.
We move beyond the stage. Whether it is shadow puppetry, mask making, or creative writing, we use every tool available to help children express themselves. For our youngest ones, aged 2 to 6, it is about discovery and playful storytelling. For older students, we dive into full playmaking, where they handle everything from writing and directing to acting in their own productions.
The real value is not just in the final show, though that is always a joyful celebration. It is in the process. When your child learns to argue a point, listen to a peer, and solve a scene-related challenge, they are learning to lead. They are building a toolkit for real-world confidence that stays with them long after the curtains close.
Theatre with Simran
I believe every child is a natural storyteller, they just need the right space to bloom. I am here to listen, accept their wild ideas, and help them turn those sparks into a complete theatre production.
