About Upper Ear & Helix Piercing
Listen, I won't sugarcoat it. Because a helix piercing goes through cartilage, it is not the same as a regular lobe piercing. It stays sensitive for a while and needs at least two months to heal. You need to be patient with the cleaning process. I use a sterile, USA-made Studex gun for the job, but if you do not follow the aftercare advice, it can get infected. I tell all my customers the same thing: be gentle with it for the first few weeks.

The Process: Clean & Safe
- Studex System: I never use crude tools. I rely entirely on the USA-made Studex system. It is spring-loaded, fast, and uses a sterile, sealed cartridge that I open right in front of you.
- Hygiene First: No reused materials, period. My shop, my reputation. If it is not sterile, it does not touch your ear.
Healing & Aftercare
As I mentioned, cartilage is different from the lobe. It is thicker and takes time to heal.
- The Two-Month Rule: Expect some sensitivity for the first few weeks. Do not twist the stud unnecessarily.
- Infection Management: If you notice swelling, do not panic. Take the stud out, clean the area with Dettol, and ensure you are keeping it dry.
- Jewellery Choice: Stick to the starter stud until it is fully healed. If you have any trouble, come back to my shop in Madangir. We do not just finish the job and forget you; we are here if you need help with the healing.
