Hand-Drawn Illustrated Wedding Invitations

Your wedding invite should feel like you, not a generic template. I draw your love story from scratch—from the intricate embroidery on your saree to a whimsical jungle backdrop—so every invite is a keepsake, not just a card.

This full-length couple portrait was the centerpiece for a beautiful wedding invitation. I focused on capturing the intricate details of their Sikh and South Indian wedding attire, blending two cultures in one illustration.

A close-up digital portrait of the happy couple. Capturing their smiles and the fine details of their jewelry and clothing is my favorite part of creating these personalized wedding illustrations.

The detail in a bride's attire tells a story. I spent a lot of time illustrating the delicate mehndi, the texture of the silk saree, and the traditional gold jewelry for this custom wedding portrait.

A closer look at the groom's sherwani and the bride's jewelry. These small details in a wedding illustration are what make the final piece so personal and special.

This is the complete illustrated portrait of the couple, hand-drawn with care. It's a perfect piece of art to announce a wedding and to cherish as a keepsake for years to come.

Here, I placed the illustrated couple against a real photo of their wedding decor. This shows how we can blend illustration with reality to create a unique 'Save the Date' or thank you card.

Another example of combining a digital portrait with a photograph of the wedding mandap. This style adds a unique, artistic touch to traditional wedding stationery.

About this collection

When I work on your invite, I am not just sketching silhouettes. I spend hours on the tiny details that matter most to you, whether it is the specific embroidery on your Kanjeevaram, the glow of the temple gopurams at sunset, or your pet peeking out from the mandap background. It is a slow process because I want to capture the actual texture of your wedding vibe, not just a digital likeness.

How Your Custom Invite Comes to Life

I do not use AI generators or stock templates. Every stroke on my iPad, or canvas if you prefer, is made by hand. We start with a chat about your story. Did you meet in a library? Is your wedding happening in a lush garden or at a temple? I want the context that makes your relationship unique.

The Process

We begin with your reference photos and a conversation about the emotional intent of your wedding. I will draft the couple’s illustration first, focusing on your wedding attire—the specific motifs on your sherwani or the gold jewellery you will be wearing. Once the characters are set, we build the scene. I have drawn everything from South Indian temple backdrops and banana-leaf decor to whimsical jungle themes with elephants and snakes.

What You Get

  • The Suite: You receive the main invitation illustration plus a matching Save the Date card.
  • Technical Specs: You get high-resolution JPEGs for WhatsApp sharing and print-ready PDFs (with bleeds) if you decide to print physical cards.
  • Revisions: I include up to 3 rounds of changes, so we can tweak the colours, the background, or even the expressions until it feels just right.

Most projects take about 7 to 14 days to complete. Since I work on these slowly and with a lot of care, I recommend reaching out well before your print deadline. Let us make something you will want to frame long after the wedding is over.
