Varmala & Floral Preservation Frames
Your wedding varmala doesn't have to fade away. I turn your special garlands and bouquets into custom resin frames, keeping your wedding memories bright and beautiful for your home.
This is a 10-inch round resin frame where I preserved red rose petals from a varmala in a crescent moon shape. A custom couple logo, names, and the wedding date are featured in gold.
Another angle of the round resin frame, showing the shimmery ivory base that makes the red rose petals and gold accents stand out.
The glossy finish of the resin protects the delicate petals and gives the entire piece a luxurious feel. The pearl border adds a final touch of elegance.
This video shows the details of the 10-inch round frame, from the preserved petals and gold flakes to the custom-designed couple logo.
For this 12x16 inch frame, I used petals and pearls from the couple's actual varmala. The pearls form the zigzag border, and the petals fill the background behind their photo and names.
A straight-on view of the varmala preservation frame. The design includes a photo, the couple's names in a beautiful script, a heart motif, and their wedding date.
This angle highlights the unique zigzag edge of the frame, which is meticulously crafted and bordered with pearls from the original wedding garland.
About this collection
The most important part of my work happens before the resin is ever poured. I use a professional silica gel dehydration process to gently remove all moisture from your varmala petals. If even a small amount of moisture remains inside the flowers, the resin can cloud or turn dark over time. This drying phase takes a few days, but it is the only way to ensure your flowers keep their vibrant, original color and look fresh inside your frame for years to come.
How I Preserve Your Flowers
Preserving a varmala or engagement bouquet is a delicate task. When you send me your flowers, I don't just put them in resin. I carefully disassemble the garlands to treat each petal, removing moisture so the organic material doesn't rot or change color. Once they are fully dehydrated, I arrange them in your chosen frame—whether it's a sleek hexagon, a classic square, or a circular piece with a unique zigzag edge.
Customization Options
Every frame I make is built around your specific memory.
- Layouts: I can create crescent moon designs, full-dial fills for clocks, or traditional border layouts.
- Details: I use gold acrylic or vinyl lettering to add your names, wedding dates, or hashtags.
- Embellishments: I often add pearl borders, gold flakes, or resin-compatible stone work to give the frame a finished, premium look.
- Materials: I work with solid teakwood and mango wood for frames that add a warm, rustic touch to the crystal-clear resin.
Durability and Care
Resin is incredibly durable, but it isn't indestructible. Each piece I create uses a high-gloss epoxy finish that is resistant to scratches and UV light. While these frames are designed to last a lifetime, I recommend keeping them away from direct, harsh sunlight to maintain the integrity of the colors over the long term. If you have a specific vision for your preservation—like incorporating photos, wedding invites, or other small trinkets—just let me know. I can usually find a way to fit them into the design.
