I see the city in layers, hunting for the colors that define a moment. This collection is a study in hues—where everyday street scenes become intentional, color-coded stories.

A collage of 'by chance blues'. This collection of moments, from an auto-rickshaw interior to a blueberry cheesecake, shows how a single color can tie a whole day together.

Life's been looking a little leafy lately. This collage is a celebration of all things green, from a glass of matcha and raw bananas to the lush foliage of the city.

A collage of 'green energy rides'. The green of an electric auto, my trousers, and a vase of fresh flowers all contribute to this vibrant, eco-conscious color story.

All things green lately. This collage combines iced matcha, fresh coconuts, and bouquets of lilies to create a refreshing and calming green moodboard.

A collage dominated by the color green. The bright green shutters of a cafe, hanging plants, and fresh produce from the market create a lush, natural palette.

A collage of green and brown textures. Sliced raw mango, Indian jujubes (ber), and coconuts on a bicycle create an earthy and organic color combination.

A collage dedicated to the color red. The fiery chillies and the deep red of a woman's saree create a powerful and energetic visual statement.

A 'chill(i) mood' collage that is an explosion of red. By layering different shots of chillies, I've created a maximalist frame that is all about this single, powerful color.

A self-portrait in red. My printed shirt and the piles of red chillies in the background create a cohesive and spicy color story.

A video where I go color hunting around the city. Edited like a color-coded movie, this reel transitions through different hues, showing how I find vibrant palettes in ordinary moments.

About Color Palettes & Visual Moods

I don't look for the perfect frame; I wait for the city to show me its palette. Whether it is matching the shade of a street-side vendor's chillies to the pattern on my shirt, or finding that specific blue that connects an auto-rickshaw to a cafe wall, my work is about documenting these 'by chance' encounters. It is a process of slow observation—seeing how a single hue can tie together completely different elements of Mumbai life into a coherent, visual story.

Finding the Story in the Shade

Color is rarely just a visual choice for me; it is a way to organize the beautiful chaos of Mumbai. When I approach a project, I look for threads—a specific tone of green in a vegetable market or the yellow of a vintage signboard—that allow me to build a narrative out of everyday objects.

My 'Maximalism Core' Approach

My style is not about minimalist, clean studios. It is about layering. I take the grit, the textures, and the vibrant colors of the streets and combine them using digital collage and rhythmic editing. This technique helps me:

  • Connect Disparate Elements: A cup of tea and an old building facade can exist in the same frame if they share a color story.
  • Maintain Authenticity: Using natural light and candid street moments ensures the color doesn't feel forced or overly saturated.
  • Create Sticky Content: Because these color-coded stories feel like a movie, they tend to make viewers stop their scroll, which is vital for any brand campaign today.

How We Can Collaborate

If you want your brand to stop being just another product and start being part of the city's fabric, let’s talk. Whether it is a reel that transitions through your brand colors, or a series of static collages for your social feed, we can find a palette that speaks to your audience. I shoot primarily on flagship mobile devices, which keeps the process agile and the aesthetic grounded in reality, rather than sterile studio perfection.
