This is the first glimpse into our world, a curated selection that captures the essence of our craft, our heritage, and the soul of our textiles. Each piece here is a story, from the elegant drape of a finished saree to the skilled hands that bring it to life. This collection is our heart, showcasing the timeless beauty we strive to create every day.
Our Handcrafted Sarees
This is where our heart lies. Explore our collection of hand-block printed sarees, each a testament to slow, sustainable fashion and available in materials like fine silk georgette, handloom cotton, and breezy chiffon. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind, featuring intricate patterns from our vintage block archives.
Contemporary Apparel & Accessories
We translate our heritage craft into breezy, modern silhouettes you’ll want to wear again and again. This collection features organic cotton dresses, versatile shirts, and unique patchwork pieces, all hand-printed with the same care and artistry as our sarees.
The Artisan's Touch: Our Process
See how each textile comes to life through a slow, deliberate process. From the meticulous carving of teak blocks to the patient layering of natural dyes and the rhythmic precision of hand-printing, this is where raw materials are transformed into art by our master artisans.
A Legacy in Wood: The Block Archive
We are custodians of one of South India’s largest private archives of vintage teak blocks, with some dating back to the 1960s. This collection showcases these historical treasures, from intricate peacock motifs to architectural designs inspired by our local heritage, and the process of bringing them to life.
Our Artisan Family & Community
Our studio is more than a workplace; it's a family. We are a second-generation, women-led studio, and some of our master artisans have been with us for over 30 years, passing down their knowledge. We are also deeply proud of our outreach program with the Asha Foundation, training and employing specially-abled artisans.
Global Reach & Collaborations
Our craft connects us to a global community of artists, designers, and institutions. We are honored to engage in cross-cultural exchanges, from translating Aboriginal lino designs into woodblocks with Australia's Bábbarra Women's Centre to collaborating with universities and designers worldwide.
Join Us: Workshops & Events
We open our doors for you to experience the ancient art of block-printing and natural dyeing firsthand. Join our workshops to learn from master artisans, explore our vintage block archives, and create your own hand-printed piece in our serene garden studio.
Reviving Heirlooms: Saree Overprinting
We believe in giving cherished textiles a second life, a practice we've honored since the 1970s. Bring us your beloved old sarees, and we will work with you to refresh them with beautiful block prints, transforming them into new heirlooms to be loved for generations more.
