A piercing is a permanent decision, so don't settle for shortcuts. We are here to talk you through safe, needle-based piercing, debunk the myths, and explain exactly why we never use piercing guns.

We believe in educating our clients. In this video, we explain in Kannada why we strictly use needles and never piercing guns. Your safety is non-negotiable, and understanding the process is the first step to a safe and successful piercing.

In this workshop snippet, Srinath debunks myths about piercings and acupuncture points, explaining that there is no scientific proof for claims like daith piercings curing migraines. We believe in giving you facts, not false hope.

We are one of the first studios in India to use a jewelry anodizer. This process allows us to change the color of titanium jewelry safely, giving you more custom options without compromising on quality.

In this video, Srinath explains in Kannada the three main reasons why we say "bedave beda" (absolutely not) to piercing guns. They cannot be properly sterilized, cause tissue damage, and lead to healing problems.

About Our Process & Piercing Education

Forget the quick-fire piercing guns you might see at the mall. We only use single-use, hollow needles because a gun acts as a blunt force tool that crushes tissue instead of cutting it. If you have ever wondered why a piercing keeps getting infected or refuses to heal properly, it is almost always because of that initial tissue trauma from a gun. We open every needle fresh in front of you, ensuring the process is sterile, precise, and significantly less painful than the alternatives.

Why We Are 'Needle Only'

We often get asked if a gun is faster or cheaper. The truth is, convenience is not worth the risk. Piercing guns are impossible to properly sterilize, they cause unnecessary tissue damage, and the butterfly-back jewelry they use is notorious for trapping bacteria and causing complications. When we say bedave beda (absolutely not), we mean it. We use titanium or steel, ensure the anatomy is right, and guide you through the healing process so you don't end up with long-term issues.

Debunking the Myths

There is a lot of noise online about piercings.

  • Migraine Piercings: You have probably heard that a daith piercing cures migraines. Our stance is simple: it is paadhi nambikkai dhaan (it is half belief). While some clients report relief, there is no scientific proof that this works. We do the piercing right, but we do not sell it as a medical cure.
  • Acupuncture Points: Piercing involves passing a needle through tissue. We are not performing acupuncture, and we are honest about what a piercing can and cannot do for your body.

Our Process

When you come to our Hulimavu or JP Nagar studio, we start with a consult. We look at your anatomy, talk about the placement, and then we prep. We talk you through breathing techniques so you are relaxed. We use titanium body jewelry because it is biocompatible and heals better than cheap alloys. If you want a specific color, we even use our own anodizer to safely change the metal hue. This is how we ensure that when you walk out, you have a piece of art that heals well and looks exactly how you imagined.
