Multifunctional and Transforming Furniture Designs
I design furniture that solves spatial puzzles. From rotating TV consoles to tables that hide away when not in use, my work focuses on maximizing your living area without compromising on elegance.
This concealed dressing unit is one of my favorite space-saving solutions, designed to fit within just 8 inches of depth. The front-lit mirror opens to reveal storage for essentials and can be adjusted for the perfect angle, then closes to become a seamless part of the wardrobe.

This is the guest room side of the rotating TV console. The custom unit allows the television to be enjoyed from the bed, making the space a private retreat for visitors while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.
This video shows the multifunctional harmonium and study table in its environment within the master bedroom. The design ensures that even a specialized piece of furniture feels integrated and harmonious with the room's serene and luxurious atmosphere.
A closer look at the custom-designed music and study table. You can see the dedicated compartment for the harmonium, which is neatly concealed when not in use, maintaining the piece's clean lines as a modern work desk.
The master bedroom's custom headboard and walnut wood paneling create a warm, inviting backdrop. The multifunctional table sits elegantly by the window, proving that practical, transforming furniture can also be a beautiful design element.
Here, the fluted wood console with a built-in music system complements the multifunctional study table. Every piece in this master bedroom is custom-designed to work together, creating a cohesive space that balances technology, creativity, and relaxation.

About Multifunctional & Transforming Furniture
What I love about these pieces is how they change the room's energy. Take the concealed dressing unit in the Lumen House project. It occupies a mere 8 inches of depth, yet transforms from a seamless wall panel into a fully lit vanity. It is not just about saving space, it is about having a room that adapts to exactly what you need in the moment, whether that is a workspace, a music room, or a private retreat.
Designing for modern living means moving past static furniture. My approach to multifunctional design is rooted in the idea that your home should not be cluttered by items you only use occasionally. By integrating mechanisms that rotate, fold, or retract, I create furniture that stays invisible until called upon.
Engineering for Movement
Whether it is a rotating TV console in a Juhu guest room or a study desk that conceals a harmonium, the challenge is always the same, hiding the mechanism behind clean, minimalist lines. For me, smart does not mean tech-heavy, it means functional precision. I use high-grade Blum and Hettich hardware to ensure that even heavy stone-topped tables or large TV units operate with a smooth, silent glide.
Materials and Finish
Just because a piece transforms does not mean it should look like a gadget. I build these units using the same materials as my permanent furniture, such as walnut veneer, marine-grade plywood, and natural stone. The dressing unit featured here is not just a folding mirror, it is crafted to blend into the surrounding wardrobe system using the exact same fluted wood panels. The result is a home that feels spacious and serene, where every inch of floor space works as hard as you do.
Why Custom Matters
Off-the-shelf furniture rarely fits the specific contours of a room or the nuances of your daily habits. By building custom transforming furniture, we ensure the dimensions fit your specific layout, whether you are dealing with a 2,500 sqft apartment or a more compact urban studio.
