Rebonding is not just a quick heat treatment, it is a permanent chemical process. We break the hair's natural bonds using high-quality L'Oreal or Schwarzkopf products and then restructure them to create a lasting, straight finish. This is why the process takes 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on your hair density. I never rush this because the precision of ironing in thin sections is what determines how straight and healthy your hair remains afterward.
How Rebonding Works
Many people confuse straightening with simple smoothing. Rebonding is a chemical transformation. I first use a clarifying wash to prepare the hair, then apply a strong Reductant Cream (L'Oreal or Schwarzkopf). We then perform a meticulous, high-heat ceramic flat ironing process in very thin sections to restructure your hair bonds. Finally, a neutralizer is applied to lock the hair into its new, straight shape. This process delivers 90 to 100% straightness that typically lasts between 8 to 12 months.
