About The Band Experience: Jamming & Performing Together
We don't expect you to know which instrument fits you yet. Our summer program starts with a speed-dating phase where students rotate through drums, keys, guitar, and vocals. This way, you settle on the instrument that actually feels right before we get into the heavy jamming. No stress, just hands-on exploration.
How Our Band Experience Works
We run these summer camps across three Bangalore locations, including Indiranagar, Vasanth Nagar, and Yelahanka. The program is built for students aged 6 and up, whether they are total beginners or have played a bit before. We strip away the dry theory and focus on what actually gets kids excited about music: playing in a band.
The Structure
The full experience is a 4-week, 16-session commitment. We meet four days a week (Tuesday to Friday) for 60 minutes. Because we keep batches small, usually around 8 to 12 students, everyone gets enough mentor attention to actually learn their parts.
What You Learn
Instead of reading music from a textbook, you learn by doing. We use interactive games to teach rhythm, tempo, and pitch. You will be in a room with other guitarists, drummers, and keyboardists, learning how to listen to your bandmates and stay in sync. By the end of the 16 sessions, the group performs a final recital. It is not about being perfect, it is about having the guts to get on stage and play.
Practical Details
We provide all the gear. You do not need to bring your own guitar or drum kit to class. Just show up at the studio, pick up an instrument, and start playing. We host classes in acoustically treated, air-conditioned spaces that feel like real studios, not classrooms. If you are worried about commitment, we also offer shorter 'Express' taster courses to help you test the waters. Just adjust maadi and pick the schedule that works for you.
Taaqademy
We are Taaqademy, a bunch of musicians who think music class should be as loud as a rock concert. We started in Ulsoor and now we are all over Bangalore, getting kids out of the house and into the studio to make some real noise.
