A Decade of Taaqademy Stage Moments
We have been turning bedrooms into stages for over a decade. Flip through these throwbacks, from our early festivals to sold-out student gigs, and see where the magic happens.
Looking back at the Taaqademy Music Festival in 2013. This great shot from the Alliance Francaise auditorium captures the joy of a young musician on stage. It's amazing to see how far some of these students have come.
All the way back to 2012! A shot from the Taaqademy Festival at Alliance Francaise. We've been creating platforms for musicians for a long time, and it's been an incredible journey.
This one's from our first big festival over 11 years ago! The band 'Second Floor' live on stage in 2013. It's a reminder of all the great bands and musicians who have been part of our story.
Almost 13 years ago! A student rocking a red electric guitar at our live event in December 2012. It's so satisfying to see so many enthusiasts continue their passion for music years later.
A great moment from the Taaqademy Festival in 2016, which also marked 20 years of our parent company, Taaq. That was a jolly good one with some fantastic student performances.
The cover of the first album of original music by Taaqademy students, released in 2017. It features gems from songwriters as young as 9 and is still streaming on all platforms.
A throwback to Taaqademy Live at the wonderful Jagriti Theatre, June 2019. This black and white shot captures the atmosphere of our student bands playing in a professional theatre setting.
Ah, The Humming Tree! Remembering the good old days of Bangalore's live music venues. This poster is from a Taaqademy Jams Live gig where our jam class graduates brought the roof down.
A fond memory of the view from our front window, circa 2015. The wall art, the view of the street, it all brings back the vibe of our old space.
About Blast from the Past
Every photo here captures a student who went from practicing in a bedroom to playing on stages like Alliance Francaise. We do not just teach scales. We prepare you for the lights, the soundcheck, and the nerves before the first chord hits. If you are tired of playing to your own walls, we have a spot for you on the setlist.
We have been doing this for a long time, and these snapshots are proof that music is better when it is loud. From our early days in Ulsoor to our current jam sessions in Yelahanka and Whitefield, the goal has always been the same: to get you out of the practice room and into the action.
We believe that the only way to learn music is to actually play it. That is why our band programs focus on chemistry and stagecraft rather than just rigid theory books. You will find photos here from our earliest festivals, student bands performing at Jagriti Theatre, and even the release of our first student-produced album.
If you are looking for band training in Bangalore, you are in the right place. We handle the matchmaking, the studio acoustics, and the gear. All you need to do is show up with your instrument and some energy. Our coaches are active musicians who know exactly how to handle stage fright and gear trouble, so you get to focus on the performance. Whether you are a beginner or looking to join a band, come by for a session and see what the noise is all about.
