About Outdoor & Lifestyle Sessions
Outdoor sessions rely heavily on timing because the natural light changes quickly. I always recommend scheduling these shoots during the early morning or the golden hour, which gives us soft, flattering light and keeps your baby at their happiest during the shoot.
While my studio is great for controlled portraits, moving outdoors adds a layer of energy that is hard to replicate. When we head to a park or garden in Jaipur, the environment becomes part of the story. Your child is not sitting in front of a backdrop; they are interacting with nature, picking up leaves, or watching butterflies.
How Outdoor Sessions Work
- The Approach: We keep these sessions loose. I follow the baby's lead. If they want to run, we run. If they want to sit on the grass and explore, we document that curiosity.
- Wardrobe Tips: Dress comfortably. You will likely be sitting on the ground or walking around, so wear shoes you can move in. For the baby, layered clothing works best so we can adjust if it gets a bit windy or warm.
- Weather and Logistics: Since we are at the mercy of the elements, I monitor the forecast closely. If the wind picks up or the light is too harsh, we adjust the time or reschedule.
- Hybrid Option: Many parents opt for my hybrid package, where we start with formal, posed portraits in my climate-controlled studio and then head to a nearby public park for those candid, lifestyle shots. This gives you the best of both worlds: crisp, clean portraits and loose, playful memories.
