This television feature was a wonderful opportunity to discuss the power of Ayurveda in modern beauty. I explain how traditional ingredients like turmeric were used for hair removal and skin health long before commercial waxes existed, and how we are bringing that wisdom back.

About The Swã Philosophy & Founder's Story
When I returned to Bangalore after twenty years, I saw every salon filled with harsh chemicals that did more harm than good to our skin. I started Swã because I believe beauty is a byproduct of how strong and nourished your skin actually is. Here, we do not just treat your skin; we use therapeutic, plant-based oils to give it shakti (strength). It is not about a quick glow for the weekend; it is about rebuilding your skin's health from the roots up.
Living abroad for two decades gave me a different perspective on beauty. Everywhere I looked in Bangalore, I saw chemical-laden procedures that stripped skin of its natural oil and vitality. I remembered my ajja-ajji (grandparents) who relied on simple ingredients like haldi and methi—rituals that kept skin glowing naturally without any artificial intervention. Swã was born from that memory.
My approach is simple: I do not believe in quick fixes. Many clients ask for temporary results, but I offer something deeper. Through Ayurvedic therapy, we focus on long-term skin health. Whether it is our facials or body treatments, every product is cold-pressed, plant-based, and completely chemical-free. We want you to feel a sense of calm the moment you step into our Jayanagar space. This is not just a salon; it is a sanctuary where you can disconnect from the city’s rush and reconnect with yourself. This is where modern aesthetics meets ancient wisdom.
