Event Hosting (Emcee/Anchor) in Bengaluru

Hosting Scope

• Duration: Around 2 hours of hosting. Most of these are lunch functions that start by 12 and wrap up by 1:30 or 2. If your side runs an hour late, I wait, no extra charge for that.
• Flow Control: Cake cutting, entries, food service transitions, all cued properly.
• Crowd Interaction: Ice-breakers made for mixing the maternal and paternal sides, and pulling in the shy relatives who otherwise just sit there.

Entertainment

• Games: Customised games for the occasion, couple games, trivia, the works.
• Props: My regular game props I bring myself, no charge. If you want something custom made or an expensive new game built, that is billed separately.
• Kids: Toddlers and kids on stage handled without the flow breaking.

Essentials

• Languages: Hindi, English, Hinglish, Marwari and Bengali. No Kannada.
• Attire: Bright, event-appropriate smart casual or Indo-Western.
• Vendor Sync: On-spot coordination with your DJ and photographer.

What You Arrange

• Sound system, mic and DJ come from your side or your event manager. I bring the anchoring and the games.
• Travel inside Bengaluru is free if the venue is cab-reachable. Beyond 10 to 15 km, please either send a cab or cover cab charges.

Terms

• 50% advance to block the date, balance a day before or on the event day.
• Baby showers, birthdays and anniversaries are Bengaluru only. Travelling out of city for these does not make sense for you or for me.

The Three Formats

• Basic in-city show, around 2 hours: 35k to 40k, depending on headcount and how many activities are involved.
• Award ceremony, around 3 hours: typically a 7 or 8pm start wrapping by 10 or 11pm.
• Full-day offsite with activities: 1 lakh. Starts after morning breakfast, runs to just before dinner.

Protocol Management

• Minute-to-minute schedule kept.
• Lamp lighting and award felicitations handled properly, with names and titles pronounced right.
• Panel discussions and Q&A moderated where needed.

Delivery Style

• Formal English and shuddh Hindi for professional audiences. No Kannada.
• Interactive segments and activities that still hold corporate decorum.
• Formal blazers, suits or crisp sarees.

What You Arrange

• Sound system, mic and AV from your side or your event partner.
• Standard activity props included. Custom-built activities or expensive props are chargeable.

Terms

• 50% advance to block the date, balance a day before or on the event day. I do not work on post-event payment cycles.
• Outstation award nights and offsites are priced higher, and travel for me plus my assistant is on the client.

What This Covers

• Anchoring for one wedding function: sangeet, haldi carnival, reception or similar.
• Introductions for the dance performances and commentary through the rituals of that function.
• Managing the shift from the emotional bits to full dance floor mode.

Entertainment & Games

• Large crowd games like the couple shoe game, jaimala tussles, crowd battles.
• I do not stand on stage the whole time. I come into the crowd, grab soundbites, play the dhol, dance with your guests.
• My standard props are included. Custom-built games or expensive new props are chargeable.

Languages & Style

• Hindi, English, Hinglish, Marwari and Bengali. Handy if your two families do not share a language. No Kannada.
• Traditional lehengas or gowns matched to the function.

Pricing Within This Band

• Off season dates: 35k to 40k.
• Peak season and high-demand dates: 40k to 45k, because taking one function on those dates means turning down another. I only take one event a day, so once your date is confirmed it is yours, and I do not raise the price after that.
• Booking two functions of the same wedding together works out better as a package. Ask.

What A Full Day Means

• Usually two functions of the same wedding on the same day. Sangeet and reception, haldi and sangeet, whatever your sequence is.
• This is a customised tier. Tell me what you want covered and we agree the number inside this band accordingly. That is why it is a range and not one fixed price.
• Once the date and the number are agreed, that is the price. I do not revise it upward later.

Master of Ceremonies

• Performance Scripting: Anchoring and introductions for the dance performances, with personalised fun facts on the performers.
• Ritual Management: Commentary and guidance through ring exchange, maayra, cake cutting and the rest.
• Energy Management: Taking the room from an emotional speech to a packed dance floor and back.

Entertainment & Games

• Large scale games across functions: couple shoe game, jaimala tussles, crowd battles.
• Moving into the crowd for soundbites, dhol, dancing with guests.
• Ice-breakers to get the shy relatives and the two sides of the family actually mixing.
• Standard props included. Custom or expensive new game props are chargeable.

Languages & Style

• Hindi, English, Hinglish, Marwari and Bengali. Useful for Marwari, Bengali and mixed-language weddings. No Kannada.
• Premium traditional lehengas or gowns fitting the scale of the event.
