Behind every flawless look is a solid technique. From mastering the perfect cut-crease to base application that lasts, here are the tips I teach at my academy.
Many clients are hesitant about glitter, but when used correctly, it can elevate an eye look beautifully. In this tutorial, I show how to apply glitter pigment over a wine-colored base for a soft, dreamy finish perfect for a bride.
A step-by-step tutorial on how to create a clean and defined cut-crease eye look. I explain the products I use, like the Tarte Shape Tape for the base, and the importance of blending for a seamless finish.
Here, I walk you through creating a flawless bridal base, especially for skin with open pores or blemishes. I explain my choice of primers and full-coverage concealers to achieve a smooth, photo-ready canvas.
Choosing the right foundation is crucial for bridal makeup. Here I talk about the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, explaining how its light weight and diffusing properties create a transfer-proof, pore-blurring effect.
This is a quick tutorial on how I create a perfectly defined and blended lip. I use a lip liner for shape, fill it in with a matte lipstick, and then add a darker shade to the outer corners for a fuller, ombre effect.
The blow-dry technique is just as important as the styling itself. I explain to my students how a soft, careful hand prevents tangles and discomfort for the client, which is key to a professional service.
This is from a bridal makeup trial where I discuss every detail with the client. We talk about which eyeshadows suit her eye shape and what kind of base she prefers to ensure her final look is exactly what she wants.
A close-up tutorial on creating an uplifted eye makeup look. This technique involves strategic shadow placement and blending to create the illusion of a more lifted, open eye.
A tutorial focused on bridal eyeshadow. I demonstrate how to create a soft, smoky look without a harsh liner, using cream pigments from the Shopaarel palette for a beautiful, shimmering effect on the eyelid.
In this video, I show the power of the Kryolan Derma Concealer Palette for face correction. It's a full-coverage product that I rely on to hide any imperfections and create a perfectly even base for my brides.
About Technique Tutorials & Pro Tips
When I teach students, the first thing I fix is their pressure. People think makeup is about loading product, but it is actually about where you place it and how softly you blend. Whether it is applying glitter or doing a blow-dry, my focus is always on a light hand, which prevents discomfort for the client and ensures a seamless finish that does not look cakey later.
My Teaching Philosophy
At my studio in Dombivli, I do not believe in editing or filters. What you see is what you get, and that transparency starts with understanding the why behind every brush stroke. You can watch a hundred videos, but you will only learn when you hold the brush. My classes are hands-on because I want you to feel the difference between a light touch and a heavy hand.
The Foundation of Flawless Skin
Many students ask me how to hide texture or pores. The secret is not more foundation, it is the right prep. I often use Kryolan Derma palettes for heavy-duty correction because they handle pigmentation and uneven skin tones better than anything else. You have to mix the right shades, lock it with a good powder, and ensure your setting spray is truly sweat-resistant for our Mumbai humidity.
Eyeshadow and Color Theory
I teach my students to look at the eye shape first. A cut-crease on a hooded eye is different from a standard lid. We use products like Tarte Shape Tape to carve that base and blend until there is no harsh line. If you are doing a soft glam look, blend your transition shades, often using soft pinks or browns, until they disappear into the skin.
Why Practice Beats Theory
Whether we are doing a bold smokey eye or a simple bridal base, my goal is to make you confident enough to recreate these looks on any client, any skin type, and any occasion. Keep practicing, and you will see your work improve.
