About French Manicure Twists
A lot of people ask if the 'smile line' on a French manicure is standardized. It is actually not. Whether you have wide or narrow nail beds, I customize the depth and curve of the tip to make your fingers look longer and more elegant, rather than just slapping on a generic stencil.
The French manicure is iconic, but sticking to just white tips can get boring. My approach is to take that clean, timeless look and make it fit your personal vibe.
Why my French sets are different:
- Custom Shapes: Whether you prefer Almond, Stiletto, or the classic Square, the tip needs to match the structure. A V-shaped French looks killer on long Coffin nails, while a soft micro-French works best on short, natural Almond shapes.
- Modern Finishes: We do not just use white polish. We do chrome lines, magnetic cat-eye tips, and even jelly-red gradients. If you are bored of the traditional look, try a matte base with a glossy metallic tip. It changes everything.
- The Smile Line Technique: This is the most technical part. To get that clean, crisp line without it looking messy, I use a steady hand and high-pigment gel colors. No thick, chunky tips that grow out looking awkward.
