Cricket Tours and Team Bonding for Mumbai Players
Cricket is a team sport, and real champions are built when you step out of your comfort zone. I take my squads on intensive tours to test their skills and build brotherhood.
A team huddle during a preparation match for the Purshottam Shield. This is where I share strategies and motivate the players. Moments like these build unity and ensure everyone is working towards the same goal.
Two of my opening batsmen walking off the field together during our Dehradun tour. The partnerships built on the pitch are a reflection of the bonds we build off the field. Teamwork is at the heart of our academy.
A moment of celebration between two batsmen after a successful partnership. I encourage my players to acknowledge each other's contributions and play as a cohesive unit.
One of my players celebrating on the field during our Dehradun tour. These tours are not just about playing cricket in different conditions but also about building confidence and creating lasting memories as a team.

There are no shortcuts to success. This photo shows my team during an intense physical conditioning session. I instill a culture of discipline and hard work because building a champion's body is just as important as building a champion's mind.

The pure joy of watching Team India win. My students celebrating together shows the deep passion for cricket that connects us all. We live and breathe this game, both on and off the field.
An incredible day for my students, meeting the legendary Muttiah Muralitharan at the Red FM radio station. Providing these unique opportunities to learn from the best is a key part of the experience at my academy.
Another shot from our visit to the radio station with Muttiah Muralitharan and RJ Malishka. The excitement and inspiration on my students' faces say it all. These are the moments that fuel their dreams.
About Academy Life: Tours & Team Bonding
It is not just about net practice at Cross Maidan. I take my squads on outstation tours like our trips to Dehradun because you need to face different pitches, unfamiliar opponents, and stay together as a unit to survive. You learn more about your game in three days on tour than in three months of local practice.
Why Tours Matter
Most academies just focus on the drill. I focus on the player. When we travel for matches, it is not a vacation. It is a simulation of the pressures you will face at the professional level. You have to adapt to new climates, sleep in different beds, and support your teammates when the score is against you.
Building the 'Soldier' Mentality
We do not just play cricket; we live it. Whether we are training in the Mumbai humidity or playing matches in the hills, the objective remains the same: mental toughness.
- Adaptability: Playing on different surfaces forces you to adjust your technique instantly.
- Camaraderie: When you spend 24/7 with your squad, you learn who has your back. Real partnerships on the pitch start with trust off the field.
- Discipline: You cannot fake intensity. On tour, I watch who wakes up early for fitness, who keeps their kit organized, and who stays focused when the game gets tight.
If you want to play for the MCA or make it to the Mumbai Premier League, you need experience against teams that do not know your style. These tours give you exactly that. You will face fierce competition and come back with the kind of confidence you just cannot build in a training net. If you are serious about your cricket, you need to be part of the next squad.
Sunil Cricket Academy
I am Sunil, and I do not just coach players; I build squads. When we travel, I watch how you react after a duck, who cheers for the teammate who dropped a catch, and who stays disciplined when the coach is not watching. That is the real test of a cricketer.
