About Guided Birding & Photography Workshops
Why I Do This
For me, bird photography means waiting, getting a little uncomfortable, sometimes even frustrated, but then suddenly - a rare bird appears, or a common one does something wild. I've had a Blue-throated Barbet land right above me, and a Black-winged Kite come close enough to hear its feathers. These moments aren’t just about snapping a photo, they're about seeing birds as they live, not just as pretty shapes.
What Happens in My Workshops
- I mix guided birdwatching with practical camera work out in the field. We'll look for everything from the chatty 'phoodki' (Plain Prinia) to raptors, and I'll help you spot and identify them - even rare migrants if we’re lucky.
- You'll learn basics and tricks of wildlife photography fieldcraft, like how to use morning light, frame shots with clean backgrounds, and catch a bird mid-flight or hunting.
- We talk about how birds help forests grow, what city life does to them, and the wild journeys migratory species take. Every bird tells a story, and we listen.
Where We Go
Mostly, I take people around Delhi-NCR: Aravalli scrublands, Najafgarh Jheel, Sultanpur National Park, and hidden corners in Gurgaon. Sometimes, I run special trips - Bhagalpur’s storks, or Himalayan summer expeditions for colorful species.
My Way in the Field
Main rule - bird pehle, photo baad (bird first, photo later). I show you how to get close without disturbing them. Sometimes, we just lie low and wait. It’s not always insta-perfect, but it’s always real.
Who Should Come
Doesn’t matter if you're just starting out, love birds, or are chasing new Delhi NCR birdwatching tours. If you want to get out, learn, and maybe see a side of nature you never noticed, I’m here for that.

My Story
Hi, I’m Sumit. Birds, nature - that’s my world. I’ve twisted through branches, got mud in my hair, just to catch a Spotted Owlet’s stare. Sometimes birding is a test of patience, sometimes it’s pure magic, like the time a young Black-winged Kite came right up close. It’s not just clicking a photo for me, it’s about feeling the moment, watching a Pied Kingfisher share a fish, or hearing a Sarus Crane call. Nat Geo features? Cool, but lying in the grass, waiting for a Wood Sandpiper to trust me - that’s the real stuff.
My Work
Nature & Wildlife Photography - I capture birds and wildlife in their wild habitats, focusing on authentic moments and real stories.
Bird Courtship & Behaviour Stories - Every shot tells you something - courtship, feeding, dabbling, or just a bird’s quirky pose.
Raw, Unfiltered Wild Shoots - I shoot birds out in the open, not staged. You might see me covered in mud, but the photos are real.
Delhi-NCR Bird Stories - If you’re curious about local birds, from rare geese to फूदकी (Plain Prinia), my work brings their stories close.
