About Wildlife Photography & Filmmaking
My Approach: Waiting for the Wild
Patience is my toolkit. Wildlife doesn't pose on command - sometimes you wait hours for that one shot. Birding is bohot tough, and I'll admit, it gets frustrating. But trust me, when a Blue-throated Barbet pops out in the open or a Black-winged kite glides close, the wait feels worth it. It's not bas about a perfect photo - it's about living the moment and feeling the story unfold.
Telling Nature’s Stories
I see myself more as a storyteller than just a photographer. Through short films and images, I try to show the wild side of Delhi-NCR and beyond, sharing little notes about bird behaviour, their quirks, what they eat, and why they matter. My aim? To help you spot the magic in the everyday, and maybe build a community of folks who care about these creatures.
What I Capture
- Birds are my first love, but I cover everything - elephants, rhinos, even the tiny फूदकी (phoodki).
- I chase action and drama - like a Crested Serpent Eagle with its kill or a crow's
कागा कागा रे...moment. - I go for intimate details, documenting bird behaviour, courtship dances, nest building, and those blink-and-miss moments.
- Sometimes it's about art - silhouettes, reflections, that one shot you can't forget.
Ways We Can Collaborate
- Commissioned shoots for organizations or researchers documenting Indian wildlife conservation stories.
- Fine art prints for homes and offices - wildlife prints India, straight from my camera.
- Licensing high-res images and video clips for media, web, or documentary storytelling in nature.

My Story
Hi, I’m Sumit. Birds, nature - that’s my world. I’ve twisted through branches, got mud in my hair, just to catch a Spotted Owlet’s stare. Sometimes birding is a test of patience, sometimes it’s pure magic, like the time a young Black-winged Kite came right up close. It’s not just clicking a photo for me, it’s about feeling the moment, watching a Pied Kingfisher share a fish, or hearing a Sarus Crane call. Nat Geo features? Cool, but lying in the grass, waiting for a Wood Sandpiper to trust me - that’s the real stuff.
My Work
Nature & Wildlife Photography - I capture birds and wildlife in their wild habitats, focusing on authentic moments and real stories.
Bird Courtship & Behaviour Stories - Every shot tells you something - courtship, feeding, dabbling, or just a bird’s quirky pose.
Raw, Unfiltered Wild Shoots - I shoot birds out in the open, not staged. You might see me covered in mud, but the photos are real.
Delhi-NCR Bird Stories - If you’re curious about local birds, from rare geese to फूदकी (Plain Prinia), my work brings their stories close.
