About Nature & Wildlife Photography
I feel most at home outside, camera in hand, chasing the wild bits of India that most people overlook. For me, the magic's in the small stuff - a dragonfly landing, water turning gold at sunset, a flower just before it wilts. I use photography to hold onto those moments before they vanish.
What I Capture
- Birds: I’ve lost count of hours spent watching Kingfishers, Peacocks, and Shrikes do their thing. It’s not just about sharp bird behaviour photography, it’s about mood - a Kingfisher preening, an Owl staring back.
- Wildlife: From Blackbucks sprinting, to Langurs just chilling in Jim Corbett, I’m trying to catch their real vibe, not just their shape.
- Macro: I get into the nitty-gritty - butterfly wings, a bee in a sunflower. Macro insect photography lets me show off the wild patterns and colors that most people miss.
- Landscapes: Misty mountain landscapes in Spiti and Manali, sunsets in Kochi. Sometimes I’ll turn the lens to the moon itself, trying to grab those cratered details.
How I Work
Patience is key. Sometimes it’s my Canon 80D, sometimes just my phone - whatever gets the shot. I chase that perfect “golden hour” light, and I love finding one quiet, natural moment that makes the whole scene click.
Where I Go
Based in Gurugram, but really, I’m all over - Himalayas, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Kerala. If there’s a new Indian wildlife expedition, I’m in. For me, every place has its own wild story.

My Story
Hey, I’m Santosh. Gurugram is home, but really, I’m always chasing stories with my camera. Spiti’s cold valleys, Kashmir’s waters, Jim Corbett’s wild forests – I find magic in tiny things, like a butterfly landing or a sunset that just hits different. Photography lets me keep those moments. I’m a family guy, too – Diwali lights, Holi colours, bura na mano Holi hai! (don’t mind, it’s Holi!) – and faith is part of my journey. All of this connects, somehow.
My Work
Nature & Wildlife Photography - I shoot birds, insects, flowers, landscapes – always searching for that soul in the moment.
Emotional Storytelling - My photos mix wonder and sadness, sometimes a poem or thought, always real. Soulful nature photography is my thing.
Details & Gear - I share species, habits, locations, or just what inspired me. Mostly Canon EOS 80D, sometimes iPhone.
