Signature Lotus & Jaal Henna Patterns
I blend the grace of lotus motifs with intricate jaal nets to create designs that symbolize new beginnings. Here is a look at my signature style.
A full-hand design where the lotus is the star. The repeating pattern creates a bold, symmetrical look, and the dark stain makes the flowers truly stand out.
This video shows a stunning lotus jaal pattern covering the entire palm. Each intersection of the net is adorned with a delicate lotus, creating a beautiful and intricate design.
Watch the process of creating a lotus jaal design, from the initial lines to the final detailed filling. As I say, drawing these perfect lines takes years of practice, bahut saalon ki mehnat lagti hai.
A geometric back-hand design featuring a lotus cuff at the wrist. This shows how traditional motifs can be used in a modern, structured pattern.

About Signature Lotus & Jaal Patterns
The key to a perfect lotus and jaal design is not just in the drawing, but in the spacing. I place these nets carefully to ensure the henna stains deeply and evenly, so the intricate lines remain crisp. When I work, I use my homemade organic paste to make sure that even the finest net patterns catch a deep, rich colour that lasts for days.
The Art of Lotus and Jaal
For me, the lotus is a symbol of rising and growing through the light. Whether I am drawing a large lotus as the centerpiece or weaving it into a jaal (net) pattern, I focus on the balance between the bold petals and the delicate grid lines.
Why This Style Works
Many clients ask for this design because it feels both traditional and modern. The jaal pattern is timeless—it creates a sense of depth that makes your hands look elegant from a distance and fascinating up close. I often pair these with lotus motifs at the wrist or fingertips to anchor the design.
My Process
Drawing these patterns requires patience and, as I like to say, bahut saalon ki mehnat (many years of hard work). I don't rush the process. I use a fine-tip cone to ensure the lines are thin enough to look delicate but thick enough to stay intact.
I only use my own 100% organic henna paste. It is free from harsh chemicals, meaning it is safe for your skin and gives a natural, deep stain that complements the complexity of the jaal work perfectly. If you are planning an event in Bengaluru or Mysuru and want a design that combines tradition with precise, artistic detail, let’s talk about your vision.
