Editorial makeup is about more than just applying color. It is about controlling how the light hits the skin and ensuring the features tell a cohesive story. Whether we are crafting a vintage-inspired wing or a graphic Navratri halo, I focus on the reason behind every line and pigment placement so the result looks intentional on camera, not just layered on.
When I step away from traditional bridal looks and into the studio for editorial work, my focus shifts entirely. Editorial makeup is the perfect sandbox for creative expression, and it requires a different set of technical skills compared to event makeup.
Why Concept Matters
Every look you see in this gallery started with a concept. Was it a tribute to Mughal-era elegance, or an exploration of tribal textures? By defining the theme first, we dictate the texture of the skin, the sharpness of the liner, and the placement of the highlight. If you are planning a shoot, don't just send me an outfit picture. The Technical Side
Graphic liners and bold shadows can look messy if the base isn't prepped correctly. In my editorial work, I treat the face like a canvas. I use specific dabbing techniques to ensure the skin looks authentic, even under studio lights. Whether it is a smudged vintage wing or a modern, high-fashion colored eye, I prioritize precision.
