The Hanger Fold
This is a life-saver for your daily or occasional wear. I fold and pin your saree so you can hang it directly in your closet. When you are ready to head out, you just take it off the hanger and drape it. It saves you the stress of pleating during the morning rush and keeps the fabric wrinkle-free.
The Travel Box Fold
Heading to a destination wedding or a family event in another city? Packing heavy silks in a suitcase can crush your pleats and ruin the fabric. I compact your pre-pleated saree into a neat 12x14 inch square. This keeps your embroidery safe, holds the shape for up to five days, and makes stacking in your luggage incredibly easy.
My Process
I treat your fabric with respect. I use a handheld steamer to remove creases, which is much safer than heavy ironing for delicate zari and silk weaves. Every saree gets secured with 5 to 8 rust-resistant pins to ensure the pleats do not shift while in storage or transit.
