Imaginative Kids' Rooms and Playful Bedrooms
We design kids' rooms that balance playful, imaginative themes with practical, long-lasting storage solutions.
This kids' room at Noor Haus is a world of imagination. We designed a raised platform bed with integrated storage and a playful house-shaped cutout behind it, which we had hand-painted with whimsical doodles.
The wardrobe doors are finished with a beautiful mint green paint and natural rattan, adding texture and a soft pop of color. The custom wooden handles are easy for little hands to use.
The room is designed to be bright and airy, with a dedicated reading nook and plenty of floor space for play. The design is minimal yet full of character and charm.
For this shared kids' room, we used a unisex palette of blue and yellow to create an energetic yet balanced space. The arched blue headboards and whimsical wallpaper create a fun and inviting atmosphere.
We designed custom twin desks and wardrobes with a playful Lego theme. The design is not only fun but also highly functional, providing each child with their own dedicated space for study and storage.
A close-up of the arched headboard and cute, plush toys that add to the room's playful character. The fluted wall paneling behind the bed adds a subtle layer of texture.
In this playroom, a beautiful mountain mural serves as a calming backdrop. We used brightly colored furniture, like the orange sofa and yellow armchair, to add personality and create a vibrant, inviting space for play.
Another playroom design featuring a dreamy cloud and stars wallpaper. A soft pink sofa and a child-sized table and stools create a perfect spot for creative activities and quiet time.
We love adding sculptural elements to kids' rooms. This geometric wall art in blue adds a modern and artistic touch, stimulating creativity and imagination.
This bedroom in our Jaipur project uses a playful, hand-drawn wallpaper with abstract shapes and botanicals. The color palette is earthy and warm, creating a cozy and imaginative space for a child.
About Imaginative Kids' Rooms
In every kids' room we design, we prioritize practical, floor-level storage hidden within raised bed platforms. It keeps the room clutter-free while giving kids easy access to their toys and books, ensuring the space remains tidy without you having to constantly step in.
Designing a space for a child means thinking about how they play today and how they will use the room tomorrow. We steer away from kitschy, one-note themes that need changing every two years. Instead, we focus on a strong, timeless base—neutral palettes, quality wood, and smart spatial planning—that can evolve as your child grows.
Whether it is a shared bedroom for siblings or a dedicated playroom, our approach is built on custom furniture. We design bespoke desks, wardrobes, and storage units to fit the exact footprint of your room, making sure every inch of space is optimized. Think hand-painted murals that add character without dominating the aesthetic, or integrated lighting that doubles as a fun design element. We treat these rooms with the same architectural rigor as a master suite, ensuring that the joinery, finishes, and flow are top-tier.
We understand that kids' rooms need to withstand rough-and-tumble play. We select materials that are not just beautiful but durable, such as HDHMR for furniture that handles daily use and easy-clean textures for walls. Our goal is to create an environment that feels like a personal sanctuary—a place for reading, building, and dreaming. If you are looking to create a space that feels like it belongs in your home rather than being an afterthought, we would love to discuss your vision.
