About Bridal & Groom Portraits: Elegance Personified
I dedicate 30 to 45 minutes before the main ceremony solely for your portraits, away from the guest list and the rush. This quiet time allows us to experiment with lighting and angles, ensuring we capture the fine textures of your silk saree or sherwani, the intricacy of your jewelry, and your genuine expressions rather than forcing a smile for the camera.
Wedding portrait sessions are about more than just standing in front of a camera. On your big day, you put hours of effort into your look, from the choice of Kanjeevaram silk to the styling of your jewelry. My job is to ensure that effort is documented with artistic intent.
I prefer a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. Whether it is a dramatic black and white profile shot to emphasize the intricate patterns of your jewelry, or a soft, natural light portrait that highlights the glow on your face, I tailor the approach to your comfort level. We move away from stiff, generic poses and focus on fluid, natural movements. If the venue has interesting architectural details or great natural lighting, we use that to frame the shot.
My approach to bridal and groom portraits:
- Natural Light Mastery: I look for soft, diffused light, often near windows or in open spaces, to create a timeless, radiant look.
- Detail Focus: I always capture close-ups of your jewelry, mehendi, and the embroidery on your attire. These small details often hold deep emotional value later.
- Collaborative Posing: I provide just enough direction to ensure you feel confident and relaxed, keeping the expressions authentic rather than forced.
- Cinematic Framing: I draw inspiration from cinema to create shots that look less like a standard wedding album and more like a storybook.
Even if you feel camera-shy, my process is designed to make you forget the lens is there. We talk, we move, and we find those moments where you are truly just being yourself.
