About Behind the Stitches
You know when you see a perfect crochet bag and it just looks effortless? The reality is a mix of late nights, tangled yarn, and a lot of tedious tasks like weaving in ends. Every piece you see here is a labor of love, representing hours of hand-stitching and intentional packing, that I send out from my small setup in Mumbai.
The Reality of Handmade
I am a total yarn addict, and Stitches by Sam is basically my way of making that addiction official. When you order from me, you are not getting a mass-produced item from a factory. You are getting something that took hours, sometimes days, to make by hand. Whether it is a giant daisy tote or a tiny, chubby jellyfish keychain, I put the same amount of heart into it.
The Granny Square Struggle
People often see the finished daisy totes and think they just magically appear. If only! Making a granny square project is basically a war. You make the first one and it looks amazing, but then you realize you have to make dozens more, weave in every single end, and join them perfectly. I have even shared my budget-friendly tips for blocking these squares so they stay flat and professional, rather than turning wavy.
Why Custom Matters
My favorite part of this business is getting your wild ideas. From custom pet costumes to specific color combos for a tulip wallet, I love a challenge. It takes a lot of time and patience, and sometimes I even deal with glue gun burns, but seeing you guys love your items makes it all worth it. If you have a specific vibe in mind, just ask.
