Behind the Scenes: Fun Moments at Spinart Table Tennis
Training isn't just about drills and intensity. Here is a look at the lighter, fun side of our Mumbai table tennis community.
A player attempts a "behind the back" shot during a rally. Should this be a point or a replay? Sometimes you have to have a little fun during practice!
That feeling when you are a newbie and you hit the ball more times than you expected. "Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ke apun hi bhagwaan hai!"
Who says table tennis players can't have some swag? Serving up style one spin at a time.
About Fun Moments & Behind the Scenes
We believe table tennis training shouldn't feel like a never-ending, robotic drill. That is why you will see us laughing, trying trick shots, and keeping things light between the intense sessions. These moments of fun are how we handle the pressure of real matches; they keep you relaxed and help you enjoy the grind. Because when you actually enjoy being on the table, you show up more often, and that is the only way to get better.
Why We Keep It Light
Training at our academies, whether in Dadar or Vile Parle, isn't just about standing at the table for two hours hitting balls. We know that repetitive practice, especially with robots or multi-ball drills, can get monotonous. Our community is built on the philosophy that you need to enjoy your time in the hall to stay consistent. If you see us filming a 'behind-the-back' shot or having a laugh, it is because we are building a space where you feel comfortable enough to experiment.
Balancing Fun and Performance
There is a time for focus and a time for release. In our competitive performance training, we push for intensity, but we don't ignore the mental health benefits of having fun. A player who is stressed about every single point is a player who tightens up and makes mistakes. We use these moments to remind everyone that even at a competitive level, this is a sport meant to be played and enjoyed.
