Standing Up for Bengaluru's Street Animals
They do not have a voice, so we become theirs. We fight for rights, lead rescues, and call out the injustice facing animals on our streets every day.
This is the India I fight for. Amid the chaos of the Amritsar floods, this is what humanity looks like. People risking themselves to save a life, proving that compassion is not dead. This is our hope.
They call them 'Aawara'. We call them 'Humara'. This is the sound of our community on the streets, making it clear that we will be the voice for the voiceless. We will not be silenced.
Look at this face. This is Loki, a two month old pup who is a bundle of pure joy. This is why we say adopt, don't shop. You can't buy this kind of happiness, but you can give it a home.
Let's be honest. When I walk home alone at night, it's not the dogs I'm afraid of. This is the reality for so many of us. So tell me again how stray dogs are the biggest threat on our streets.
This is what love and a little bit of care can do. From a state of neglect to a life full of joy, this transformation shows the real impact of rescue. This is the result we fight for every single day.
Monsoon is not a happy season for those on the streets. We are collecting blankets, towels, and beds to provide some comfort. You can help us give them a dry and warm place to sleep.
This is the whole point. Love doesn't have a price tag. This couple on their auto with their little one shows that happiness is about what you have, not what you can buy. Adopt pets, stop buying them.
Jhukti hai duniya, jhukane wala chahiye. They thought no one would fight for these dogs. We proved them wrong. This is a victory for every person who was vocal for them, a thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
About Featured
We are not a shelter with soft walls and quiet rooms. This is gritty, real-time advocacy. When you see our posts, you see the actual fight, whether it is getting a pup through monsoon rains in JP Nagar or challenging policies in court. If you want to know what happens when someone decides to actually care about the animals in their neighborhood, this is it.
We are not here to sell you a pet. We are here to change how Bengaluru sees its street animals. Our work is raw, often messy, and always necessary.
Why we exist: Street animals in South Bengaluru deal with harsh realities every single day. From floods in places like HSR Layout to the brutal neglect that leads to skin diseases, the suffering is constant. We do not look away, and we do not expect you to either. We use our voice to demand better, whether that means protesting at Freedom Park or exposing local cruelty.
How we work:
- Direct Action: When a dog needs a blanket during the monsoon or a life-saving medical intervention, we act. Our community rallies for food, medicine, and support, proving that collective care works better than apathy.
- The Advocacy Fight: We challenge the systems that hurt animals. We talk about court orders, government policies, and the laws that affect every stray dog in our city. When the laws are wrong, we speak up.
- The Adoption Reality: We push the 'Adopt Don't Shop' movement because the breeding industry feeds the cycle of abandonment. If you are looking for a companion, adopt from the streets. You save a life, and you get a loyal friend.
This page is a snapshot of that struggle. It is our way of showing that compassion is not a passive emotion. It is an active choice. If you want to join a group that is tired of the status quo and ready to make things better for our furry locals, you are in the right place. We are vocal, we are local, and we are not going anywhere.
