Upcycled & Transformed: Your Old Outfits Reimagined
Don't let your favorite clothes sit in the closet. Let's give them a fresh life with a custom redesign that matches your current style.
From a three-year-old gown to a trendy draped saree. This video shows the amazing transformation of a client's outfit, proving that great design is truly *sadabaahaar* or timeless.
A closer look at the process of upcycling a gown. You can see my team and I working together, draping and pinning the fabric to create a brand new silhouette for our client.
About Upcycled & Transformed
Transformation is not just about cutting fabric, it is about respecting the original piece. When I take a structured gown and turn it into a draped saree, I map the existing seams and volume first to ensure we do not waste any material. You bring me the history, and I bring the design, so we end up with something that feels brand new without losing the soul of the original outfit.
My approach to upcycling is simple: if you loved it once, you should be able to love it again. Many of us have clothes sitting in our wardrobe that we cannot wear because the style feels dated or the fit is not quite right. My job is to see the potential that is hidden in that fabric.
Why I Love Upcycling
Sustainability is not just a trend for me, it is the foundation of the Sadabaahaar (timeless) philosophy. When you choose to transform an existing outfit, you are reducing waste while keeping the emotional value of the garment intact. It is a way to create something entirely unique without starting from zero.
The Redesign Process
We start by analyzing the current garment. I look at the fabric quality, the amount of material we have to work with, and the structure. Whether it is turning a heavy bridal lehenga into a chic sharara set, or converting a structured gown into a saree, we discuss the possibilities during our initial consultation. I create a rough sketch to help you visualize the new silhouette before I put a single pin into the fabric.
Every piece is handled at my Noida studio. I take the time to deconstruct and reconstruct, ensuring the new design honors the original work. This is not mass production, so expect a process that involves trials to get the fit perfect. If you have an old piece that you just cannot part with but have no reason to wear, bring it over. Let us make it something you will reach for again and again.
