About Sacred Vows: Wedding Ceremonies
I don't treat ceremonies like a photo shoot where everyone is told what to do. My job is to move around quietly, waiting for that genuine look between the two of you or the tear in a parent's eye. If I'm filming your wedding, you will barely notice I'm there until you see the final edit and realize I caught the moments you were too busy to see yourself.
How I Approach Your Ceremony
Photography at a wedding ceremony shouldn't feel like a distraction. When I am shooting a traditional Hindu ceremony in Kochi or a church wedding in Bangalore, my goal is to blend into the background. I use prime lenses for portraits and a quiet, candid approach so that you and your families can stay focused on the sacred moments happening in front of you.
Respecting Tradition, Capturing Emotion
I have spent years working with diverse customs—from the detailed rituals of a Hindu wedding, like the tying of the Mangalsutra, to the intimate setting of a Christian ceremony or the specific traditions of a Muslim Nikkah. I know the rhythm of these events, so I don't need to ask you to 'pause' for a photo. I know when the main moment is coming, and I am already in position to capture it.
Whether it is the exchange of rings, the showering of petals, or that fleeting, emotional glance between the couple, I am looking for the humanity in the ritual. If you hear me say, 'Just onnu neengi nilkkane' (Just move aside a bit), it is only because I want to clear the clutter so the focus stays entirely on you and your partner.
The Final Result
I want your final photos and films to feel like a memory, not a production. My crew and I focus on capturing the joy, the nervousness, and even the slightly awkward bits that make your day real. We aim to deliver a documentation that feels alive—full of the colors, sounds, and emotions of your wedding day.
