I document the quiet promises and joyous rituals that make your wedding day yours. From traditional South Indian ceremonies to intimate church exchanges, I stay in the background to capture the real story as it unfolds.

A grand portrait of the couple in traditional South Indian wedding attire, standing before a magnificent entrance. This shot, titled "Into the Dreams," captures the beginning of their new life together.

A breathtaking shot of the couple, titled "Satish," sharing an intimate moment against a backlit sun. This is the kind of magical, romantic light I seek to create timeless wedding portraits.

A beautiful Christian bride standing outside the church, ready to walk down the aisle. I focus on capturing the elegance and anticipation of this pivotal moment.

A view from the back of the church aisle as the couple stands before the altar. This perspective captures the solemnity of the ceremony and the support of their loved ones.

A tender moment on the steps of a temple, with the groom kissing the bride's head. These quiet, affectionate moments are just as important as the main rituals.

A candid shot of a Bengali bride sharing a laugh with her groom. I love capturing these unposed moments of joy that reflect the couple's true personalities.

The Varamala ceremony, a playful and significant ritual that marks the beginning of a Hindu wedding. I capture the joy and excitement of this moment.

A collage showing various moments from a traditional wedding ceremony, including rituals and a beautiful portrait of the bride in her red saree.

A four-panel collage from a traditional Iyer wedding, showing the couple participating in various rituals surrounded by family.

A diptych capturing the bride and groom during a key moment in their wedding ceremony, as she pours sacred grains.

About Sacred Vows: The Wedding Ceremony

I avoid using heavy strobe lights that distract from the ceremony, because those fleeting, genuine exchanges between you and your partner happen in an instant. I rely on natural light and small, non-intrusive equipment so I can get close enough to frame the mangalsutra tying or the ring exchange without stepping into your sacred space.
